Latvian Fintech Nectaro Launches in Germany

With a mission to make investing more accessible, a licensed European investment platform Nectaro has started operations in the German investment market. The platform allows to invest in loans through simple financial instruments – Asset-Backed Securities (ABS). 

With a historically long-standing financial infrastructure compared to other European countries, Germany’s investment culture stands out as dominant in retail investors’ involvement. According to the European Central Bank data, Germany ranked as the first in Europe’s retail fund market. German private investors had accumulated investment fund shares worth 1 trillion euros as of Spring 2023, constituting a substantial 27% of the total fund holdings for private households across the European Union and the UK. (Source). Additionally, Germany stands as the Top 5 country worldwide by the number of alternative investment platforms created there (Source). 

In Spring 2024, Nectaro started to offer investment services and ancillary investment services in Germany after receiving passporting rights from the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). Being one of Europe’s most dynamic financial markets, this significant expansion by Nectaro opens new and simple investment opportunities for German retail investors.
