Ecofinance is a fast-growing fintech delivering accessible B2C financial services worldwide as a part of Dyninno Group. Through brands like Creditprime and Honey Loan, we offer instalment loans and credit lines via our online platform, serving over 2 million clients across Romania, Moldova and the Philippines.
We are looking for a Financial & Business Controller for Moldovan market with an analytical mindset and a commercial approach to finance. The role is focused on financial and business controlling, performance monitoring, management reporting, and providing insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Drive business control by monitoring financial and operational performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting effective financial controls and reporting.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and targets, perform variance analysis, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to improve business performance.
- Oversee and strengthen internal financial controls and audit-related activities, ensuring adherence to internal policies and reporting standards and following up on identified control gaps.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for senior leadership, shareholders, and Group reporting.
- Develop and monitor financial and operational KPIs, providing insights to support business decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, operational efficiency, and improvements in reporting and controlling processes.
- Contribute to Group-level budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning, and scenario analysis.
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of experience in Financial Controlling, FP&A, Business Control, Management Reporting, Internal Audit, or a similar finance role.
- Previous experience in fintech, banking, financial services, non-bank lending, leasing, or audit is a strong advantage.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Advanced technical skills in MS Excel (financial modelling, pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis); experience with Power BI or other BI tools for dashboard creation and data visualization.
- Hands-on experience working with ERP systems (e.g., 1C, SAGE, or similar) and financial reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of financial and management accounting, business performance analysis, and lending industry KPIs (e.g., NPL, Cost of Risk, NIM, ROE, ROA, LTV/CAC, Yield).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets and translate them into actionable business insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; ACCA, CFA, CIMA, CIA, or equivalent certifications are an advantage.
- Fluency in Romanian and English is required; Russian is a plus.
