Chief Accountant

Dynatech / Latvia, Riga

We are currently seeking an experienced chief accountant to join our rapidly growing international company. In this role, you will demonstrate your professional expertise in a variety of accounting practices, including overseeing payroll and taxes. You must be highly accurate and efficient, implementing your vast knowledge in different fields, ensuring provision of consistent, accurate accounting services.


Key responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for day to day finance and account operations; 
  • Process accounting documents in accordance with legislation in a timely and efficient manner; 
  • Be in charge of all company’s accounts; 
  • Perform timely and accurate calculation of payroll and bonuses (300+ employees); 
  • Perform cost tracking, monitoring and control; 
  • Be the first point of contact during audit, respond to audit reports and defend accounting practices when appropriate; 
  • Support financial team with budget and forecasting; 
  • Perform month and year end closing; 
  • Prepare a variety of financial statements and fiscal reports for internal and external use; 
  • Advise managers on purchasing and all other financial decisions; 
  • Represent the company in banks, authorities. 


Skill-set / Qualifications:

  • Proven successful experience in similar position for 3 – 5 years in a private entity; 
  • Higher education in Accountancy; 
  • Strong knowledge of local legislation and tax policies; 
  • Knowledge of local financial standards and 1C system; 
  • Excellent communication and decision making skills; 
  • Analytical, detail oriented, proactive personality with desire to learn and develop professionally in a fast-paced environment; 
  • Highly adaptive and flexible towards changing circumstances, able to work with complex information; 
  • English language knowledge at least B1, Russian and Latvian languages. 


Will be considered as an advantage:

  • Transfer pricing knowledge.


Compensation: from 2500 gross.
