Dyninno Travel, operating International Travel Network, ASAPtickets, and other travel brands, today said that airline ticket sales between the US and Egypt grew three times in the first quarter of 2022 against the corresponding period in 2019.

The company’s research shows that the number of US-Egypt tickets sold grew three times in Q1 2022 up to the same period in 2019.

The average price in the first three months of 2022 was $1.763 per sale.

While the effect of the pandemic on travel sentiment is starting to be over, the research indicates that travellers are regaining confidence and opting for long-term bookings. According to Dyninno’s data, in the last four months 8% of travellers booked tickets over 120 days in advance. Another 10% are booked over 90 days in advance, 25% chose their tickets over 60 days and 27% – over 30 days. The booking window of 0-30 days accounted for over 32% of advance purchases.

The data further showed that the top five preferred airlines among the customers in Q1 2022 include Egyptair, Turkish Airlines, British Airways, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines.

Dyninno Travel also reveals that New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco were the top departure cities for “friends and relatives” travel accounting for 60% of the travellers bound to Egypt from the US. Cairo, Alexandria, Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, and Luxor are the top five destinations.

“We provide high-quality services and air tickets for travellers to many countries, including  Arabic-speaking destinations. Our data show that 2022 will be a promising year for friends and relatives travelling on the US-Egypt route. We have been observing a recovery in air ticket sales since the end of 2021, but the beginning of 2022 overcame our forecasts. Our Egyptian office was opened before the pandemic in 2019, and it was a quite good year in terms of travelling. I’m happy to notice that this year we have already surpassed the pre-pandemic level of activity. It is an encouraging trend not just for Dyninno but also for the whole travel industry,” says Alex Weinstein, Chairman and Co-founder of Dyninno Group of Companies.
