While the number of Canadian travelers choosing Romania as a tourist destination saw a significant increase last year, demand from American travelers declined substantially, impacting broader regional trends, including in Moldova, according to data from Trevolution Group. The number of Canadians flying to Romania rose by an impressive 76% compared to 2023, while demand from American travelers dropped by 23%. Despite this overall decline from the US, flights from Miami to Romania recorded an 11% increase. In contrast, tourists from the UK, France, and Germany are showing a growing interest in visiting Romania. The average stay for economy class travelers to Romania remained steady at 28 days, while business class travelers extended their stays by 14%, now averaging 25 days.
Trevolution Group sold over 980,090 flight tickets and holiday packages last year through its own brands (ASAP Tickets, Skylux Travel, Triplicity, Vagamo, Dreamport, Oojo), with reported gross bookings reaching 1.238.64 billion dollars—a 5% increase from the previous year, 2023.
