With the conception of OpenAIs ChatGPT, artificial intelligence (AI) has proven to be a disrupting force in our working world. Various industries have leveraged ChatGPT’s technology to optimize workflow, craft texts, and more. AI has proven useful, but some are still concerned about how this technology will effect our work. But the question still stands: how will AI change the workforce?
AI may take charge of menial tasks that take too much time and energy. AI may disrupt the labor market by eradicating the need for humans in low-skilled jobs. AI may become superintelligent but won’t assume control of the jobs that demand humans at the bow. Instead, this new technology could liberate us from the restraints of the working week and allow us the freedom to do more of the things we love. In addition to this newfound freedom, AI will force us to confront a new way of living, learning, and working. There are many ways AI could drive this change and help shape the working world of tomorrow.
